Depression, stress and anxiety can cause trouble for the baby later on in life. It can cause chemical imbalances which can trigger depression and problems.

What you have to remember is a baby feels the same as the mother does so if the mother is stressed out so is the baby which is one of the reasons a mother should keep as calm as she can.

I don't know about affecting the person in adulthood, but depression, stress, anxiety, etc... can all cause problems during pregnancy...

Get someone to give you a hand, and take it easy as much as possible...

Relax and enjoy, and at the risk of quoting monty python:

"Always look on the bright side of life," remaining calm and happy is just as important as eating a good diet, especially when pregnant...

Yes it affects the unborn baby and yes, it can carry on to adulthood. Scientology teaches this concept, that we hear things while in the womb that become triggers later in life.
For instance the unborn baby repeatedly hears the father telling the mother that she is useless. The baby hears that and later in life feels useless but doesn't know why. That in only one example and no, I am not a Scientologist. But the concept makes a lot of sense and I am sure that in some circomstances it happens. A baby and the mother are so connected that the baby is vulnerable to all the things that it can feel and sense and hear.

Yes. Stress is definitely a teratagen(spelling?) and can cause birth defects in the unborn fetus.

You are connected in a way that you can never be again. You share your blood and your food. I would imagine that you would share emotions too. But that is a good thing because you can always comfort the baby in the same way.
