it is known that stress hormones flow through into the baby and yes i have seen that women who are really stressed during pergnancy have difficult babies, dont know about when they reach adult hood though....try relaxation techniques

I don't know about affecting the person in adulthood, but depression, stress, anxiety, etc... can all cause problems during pregnancy... Get someone to give you a hand, and take it easy as much as possible... Relax and enjoy, and at the risk of quoting monty python: "Always look on the bright side of life," remaining calm and happy is just as important as eating a good diet, especially when pregnant...

Hi. I've read that if a pregnant woman is stressed or feeling down, the baby is more likely to be colicky.(especially if baby is a boy)
