I would consider having the one at 12 weeks, or talking to your Dr. to see if there is any way you can work around the dates. Dr.'s are always a bit surprise when we know what we're talking about like that.
What would you do if the nuchal fold was measured and was abnormal? That's another thing I would consider. Are you going to have the AFP test or other diagnostics? If so, I would not worry as much about the scan. Maybe. ;-)
Given your past history, I can see why you would be cautious, you have every right to be!
Good luck!

Most areas in the UK will do either a nuchal scan at 12-13 weeks, or the triple blood tests at 16 weeks. Blood tests are more common. If you live in an area where they do that, you won't get a nuchal scan, just a dating scan at 14 or 15 weeks. So it sounds like they do the blood tests in your area.
I can't see much advantage in paying for a dating scan at 10 weeks unless you have a reason to be very unsure about your dates. You can have a private nuchal at around 13 weeks and they will confirm your dates at that scan.
I personally chose to have a private nuchal at 12 weeks and I'm glad I did because I found it reassuring. But my midwife asked that if I went for a nuchal then I cancel the NHS dating scan because it's not necessary.
You really don't need to have scans at 10, 12 and 14 weeks because really they are checking for the same things and no point exposing your little one to unnecessary radiation.

I had a nuchal scan done about a week later than what it was supposed to be done at due to moving to a different city and it didn't make any difference to the outcome of the test. If it would set your mind at ease then by all means do what you feel is right but with all due respect I think you need to relax and not be so overcautious. I realise you maybe anxious because of your 2 m/c but every pregnancy is different. Just take it easy and enjoy your pregnancy.

I had my first scan at 14+1 weeks and iv known friends to have it around the same time for various reasons, im sure the doctors know what they are doing and would not give you a date that was no good for you.
Dont worry about it and trust the people looking after you.

Does your hospital not have an early Pregnancy unit? They offer Lady's who have miscarried scans at 8 + weeks. Reassurance scans they call them. I miscarried last year and i am now 10 weeks preg and going for a early scan next Tues. I know you must be worried and want to know that all is well after what you have been through. I would go and ask your GP about an early scan. Good luck to you x

I am paying privatley to have the test as I missed out with the NHS. Apparently my hospital (in Leeds) do not offer it so I really had no choice.
I would have it done as together with the blood test, the scan gives greater accuracy.
Good luck

I had my scan with my 2nd at nearly 15 weeks, and it was fine, the date isnt that important, the most important scan is the 20 weeks one. Good luck
