I am ready for the end of Black History Month long before February 28th. It's the same stuff every year.

"I learned about my heritage by going to the library and researching.", says I Hate Ignorant People.

That is just what each of us ought to do. If it is of interest to you look it up. It's at your finger tips, unlike days of old when you had to go to the library.

I don't need to have a month for this or that to be interested in something historical. However, those who are not interested, will not become interested because of someone making it a special month.

in this screwed-up calendar we've? Oh, who's commonplace with. perhaps a collection of nicely-which means persons were given jointly and finally agreed on February without pondering the month's length. perhaps truly some concepts, breakthroughs and events got here about interior the month? per chance a call of birthdays, or memorable dates? i ask your self why society designates a month to at least some thing. no longer in simple terms black historic past, yet...isn't June some thing like Sexual expertise Month...or some thing? anyhow, it really is my 2 shillings

People complain when they don't have a month dedicated to their race and historic accomplishments. Then when they get what they asked for, they still have something to complain about.

I am hispanic and went through all of my school years hearing all about what the whites and blacks did, but never the hispanics. I learned about my heritage by going to the library and researching.

Within the past couple of years, they established a Hispanic heritage month (October), but they still do not teach the heritage or celebrate it in the schools or in the public.

So stop complaining and be happy with what you have.

I have notice that because I'm black and that isn't right. I think they could have black history month in January because it was Martin Luther King Jr. birthday was in January. They chose February because they are stupid.
