All the big bookshops (Waterstones, Borders, WH Smiths) will have a midnight opening to allow people to collect reserved copies. It wouldn't surprise me if you could also just go in and buy one - check out their websites and see if you can contact someone from customer services who can let you know. Either way, expect to queue; there are likely to be a lot of people there.

Are you saying you are somewhere else right now? For instance, you're from the US, but you're taking a vacation in the UK and will be in London on 21 July?

If you're from London, most bookstores here allow people to reserve a copy. If it's a situation where you'll be going there for a short time and will be there on the release date, maybe if you were to call some local bookstores and explained the situation they'd reserve one for you over the phone - if it wasn't picked up, it's not like they wouldn't sell it anyway!

Do a search for bookstores in London, and if there are any that have websites they might allow you to reserve online. Borders is doing that, so check that out as well! Good luck.
