What kinds of things would you consider to be small sins?

I am doing a study of how people look at morality. I would like specific answers of people opinions of wrong/sins that are not really a big deal.

I don't understand the concept of a small sin. How can a wrong not be that big of a deal? Small wrongs that are accepted by society make people corrupt and immune eventually.

Not that I think any of these are "good", but to me they aren't Major sins:
Telling white lies - "you look fine in those pants"
Taking pencils & paper clips home from work (petty theft)
Littering
Gossiping
Gluttony
Cursing
Breaking promises
Drinking, smoking weed


I like what "Unique" said....... small sins are like drops of water in a bucket, pretty soon, it's full. I agree.

All sin is a big deal. It is like adding a drop of water to a bucket, it is not a big deal until the bucket is full. Sin is the same, it is not a big deal to most until it is too late or the bucket is full.

A sin is a sin is a sin. There are no small sins, as there are no sinless people. But my faith tells me that my sins will be forgiven.

White lies, which spares other person's feelings;saying a bad word once in a while;hanging the phone up on a person being a jerk.

ahhh but the Bible does say sin is sin...there is only one sin that is greater and that is blaspheming the Holy Spirit
So if you look at it from a Biblical perspective...stealing a piece of gum is just as much of a sin as murder...a sin is a sin
