The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People would be the plain and simple answer, but we could also throw the Bible in there.

HOWEVER, if you REALLY want to change and change now to a point that you won't only coexist in the workplace, but will dominate it, read TSUN SU's THE ART OF WAR.

Best thing I can recommend to you, it really is. It's helped me in my writing, my college work, my career, there's nothing it hasn't helped me with. I know it sounds like it, but it doesn't talk only about war, it talks about the mindset for those who really want to achieve something in life and change their weaknesses into strongpoints.

Go to Barne's and Noble right now and pick it up for $3.50. If you really like it you can go back later and pick up the special hardcover edition for $24.99, but start simple. Besides, the cheaper one is pocket sized.

Good luck to you.

I don't know you...but let's see what i can do.
Don't read any religeous books like the Bible, Koran, Pali Canon or whatever.
If you want to change your fashion, try reading The Devil Wears Prada.
If you want to wake up in the morning with good mood, try reading Eragon (although it's a novel, i guess it will help you).
Life style, try reading The Morning After.

I have seen the DVD "The Secret" and it is wonderful! It inspires you to rethink how you think! I strongly recommend it. It's sold at Borders, Barnes & Noble and you can also order it online. They also have the book.

a book will not change your attitude. it will only give you pointers. "never argue with your boss"...my boss gave it to all of her staff for a "gag gift" but it was pretty insightful.
