It depends on the size and location of the cyst.
My aunt had one ovary removed due to a large cyst and it was later discovered she had cysts on the other as well. She had 4 pregnancies. My mom has cysts and she had 4 pregnancies as well, including 1 after a tubal ligation!
So really as long as the cysts aren't interfering with blood supply to the ovary (as stated above) or completely blocking the whole ovary it is likely you can get pregnant.
Though cysts are a symptom of PCOS (poly cystic ovary syndrom) which is a hormonal problem that can have a large impact on fertility.

I would not say that it affected my probabilities of getting pregnant, considering I did. However my husband and that i had been seeking to have a baby for 3 years.I misplaced forty lbs and then got pregnant with my daughter. I'm 25. I had two ovarian cysts that grew to be tumors. My health practitioner blamed it on being chubby. I stopped up having an emergency c-section after 12 hours of prompted labor. My surgeon then observed the tumors on my ovaries (for the first time) that have been the scale of grapefruits. He told me that had I long gone into usual labor, the tumors could have ruptured and been worse than appendicitis, in all likelihood killing myself and the baby. He eliminated the tumors and most of 1 ovary and half of of the other. Confidently i will nonetheless have youngsters. It is a very frightening thing. But I additionally recived probably the most amazing blessing on this planet...My little woman. Please preserve going to your OBGYN visits, and ask your physician about getting pregnant with ovarian cysts. Excellent success and God Bless.

It really depends on a lot of factors. This is really something that a Dr should answer but it really has to do with where the cyst is, how big and how many there are. Also when you have cysts that rupture there can be some that are harmless and some that can so damage. I guess the answer is yes it can, but i would talk to a Dr about your specific case. Good Luck

Hi! i also have a large cyst on one ovary. I think it depends on the type and why you have it. do you have PCOS. I do and it causes lots of cysts on the ovaries. for some reason, hormonal I think, teh eggs never leave the cysts, as they are supposed to break through during the cycle. you might want to talk to a fertility Dr if you havent already!

I'm not sure if there are other reasons but I know if the cyst grows too big it could cause what's called torsion, which means the ovary twists, cutting off blood and could kill the ovary tissue (I know b/c my daughter had cysts and that's what the doctor told me).
