The Mavericks have a great starting five and the deepest bench in basketball. Why would they need to trade for anyone? Of all the big names mentioned in trade talks, I only expect one to actually get traded, and that's Jason Kidd. If the Bulls are smart they'd run away from Gasol, Carter wont be moved till the off-season in a sign-and-trade, Garnett's going nowhere, the Maloofs are in love with Artest, Magette's gonna rot on the end of the Clippers bench and the Pacers want too much in return for Jermaine O'Neal. Look for players with expiring contract to be moved, like P.J. Brown, Jamaal Maglorie, and possibly Grant Hill. Other than that, I expect an uneventful trade deadline

I hear Kidd is going to the Lakers and Carter is going to the Clippers. I'd keep Carter if I were the Nets. Because if they ship both of those guys out, they'll drop outta the playoff hunt waaaay faster than Miami will.

I don't see why they need to change their team, the old saying rings true here..."if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
