First of all, you have my very deepest sympathy, this must be a really difficult time for you and your family.
Depending on your build, I would choose a single breasted suit if you are slender and a double breasted suit if you can carry it. The best option would be to try on different styles in the store and ask an assistant for help if necessary.
Choose a suit appropriate to the climate you are living in, a heavy weave fabric if you live in colder climes and something lightweight and comfortable if the weather is hot. Again, an assistant will be able to advise you.
I know it sounds callous but choose something that you can wear again, something that would also be suitable for a wedding or a job interview. There's no point wasting money on something that will just be flung in the back of the wardrobe after the funeral. You might also want to consider whether the suit you choose can be machine washed or whether it is dry clean only.
If you really won't be wearing the suit again after the event, then perhaps you could hire one instead?
I hope I've given you a few options to think about and again, you are in my thoughts at this difficult time.

Im really sorry. I know what you are going through. My father passed away too. At the funeral, my brother just wore a regular suit. I know this is not very helpful, but pick one you are comfrtable in. You dont want to be uncomfortable during it.

wish, i'm commencing as much as contemplate whether a undeniable obsessive fan's driveway reaches the line. We did no longer play any songs at my father's memorial. If he'd been alive that day, he could have been embarrassed via the attention. %. one blues song, the only he liked suitable. which will depart an prolonged-lasting impression. Or play 20. And yeah, we atheists even have funerals. what's it approximately god-gobbers having to insult a family individuals by using fact someone who replaced into an atheist gave up the ghost? suitable to you and your loved ones, Lisa.

Honey, I am so sorry for your loss! That is so terrible! Don't worry too much about style, no one will care. You may just want to rent one from a shop like After hours, tell them it is for a funeral. They will tell you what is appropriate. Basically a black suit, black shoes, and long black tie(as apposed to a bow-tie) and white shirt is appropriate. Hang in there!

sorry to hear. but the only way to go is a basic black suit since its a funeral. Maybe wear his favourite colour in a tie or pocket square or something.

Doesn't need to be a particular style, just pick something that looks good on you and you feel comfortable in and something you can use for other occasions when you need to dress up.
