Should be ok just the once, don't do it again though... if you're worried contact your health visitor or GP.
Don't eat it if you breast feed either... for iron eat broccolli or spinach (or any other green leafy vegetable)
Try to not eat much red meat while pregnant, go for Chicken/Turkey instead, also avoid lots of spicy curries, nuts, dairy produce etc, try to eat lots of protein (chicken, different types of beans, mushrooms etc), and fibre, you're gonna need that fibre...
Eat lots of fresh fruit (avoid oranges, prunes and similar - they'll give you the sh*ts straight away) Bannanas are good, so are apples...

Once isnt going to cause harm to your baby just dont eat liver again !!! A normal balanced diet will give you all the vitamin A that you and your baby need. Too much vitamin A may harm your developing baby. During pregnancy it is best if you
Don’t eat liver, or liver products such as liver pate (liver may contain a lot of vitamin A due to the type of food the animals have been fed on)

I am sure you will be fine - the main thing is you now know not to eat it - I was in the exact same position. Being 5 weeks pregnant I went out and got drunk and ate shellfish not knowing yet I was pregnant. I was so worried I mentioned it to the doctor and she said as long as I knew now not to eat it then its fine/ Just think of all those people who smoke and drink for the 40 entire weeks and most give birth to a healthy baby and those women who don't know they are pregnant and no doubt eat whatever they want including all the no-no foods. If you are still concerned mention to your GP. Best of luck xx

Any chance this is your first baby?
I think the reason you are told not to eat liver is the Iron content? I'm sure you didn't eat that much so stop panicing - you'll be fine!!
The best advice i would give you in pregnancy is keep everything in moderation. They tell you not to eat mayonaise, prawns, whipped ice-cream basically for you to wrap yourself in cotton wool!
Just relax, a little of what you fancy does you good.
Good luck with the baby & congrats xx

The amount of vitamin A that you would get from one portion of liver would not be enough to harm your baby. Don't worry. All the iron probably did your body good!

Of course! It's only dangerous because it can sometimes cause food poisoning (same with seafood, raw fish, eggs, soft cheese etc) so if you haven't had any sickness or diarrhea by now, you and your baby will be fine!

You should be fine. There are definitely worse things you can put in your system when you're pregnant. Just avoid it in the future.
