because we don`t live in an ideal world. If we would live in a society governed by feelings we should follow our heart, but today the society is based on interests and challenge and competition, that`s why we have to be so rational!
Good luck!

you do not kill your feelings when you want to be wise... A wise man said that your emotions are your fuel to your passion...
You don't trim your feelings... you acknowledge them and process them and see what is really wrong and see what you can do...
You should stay as a child... childlike not childish... excitement keeps you alive and interested in things... Jesus said, "You will never enter the kingdom of God unless you are a child as these..." (I hope I'm quoted it correctly...)
You do not need to stop being emotional and silly you can do that sometimes, but not all the time... it requires timing...;-)
They think that way because they themselves haven't grown up and think they have, but really not...
You will become a woman if you have dignity, respect, consideration, the grace and courage to do what is right... and will help the world become rich because of you... ;-)

Hope that helps...;-)

"Killing" your feelings will not make you wise. Wisdom comes from understanding your feelings and directing them into pursuits that help you achieve your goals in life. Please don't feel compelled to please others by acting like them. Each person is a unique individual and should offer that uniqueness to others while allowing others to be unique also. Emotions are a part of life, and they have a reason for being there. Cultivate the emotions of caring, compassion, and love. They will be a powerful force in your life. BTW I cry when I feel like it.

Live your life as much as you can being who you are. There are some limits where you have to think of others feelings. But there is nothing wrong with being 'childish' and having fun :]

controlling yourself is a good thing...
if you don't kill the child who is in your heart, you get excited and be happy...
you can be a woman but it doesn't mean that you are wise...
i think,no one thinks that you're silly.it is just your own opinion...

trust yourself ;)

Wise people never kill their feelings. But they think first. You should be guided by your heart, but not dragged...

controlling your feelings does not make you wise.
perhaps what is being said to you is that you are allowing your emotions guide you? rather than logical consideration.

regardless, just be yourself.
