I think some make a choice and I think some may be 'born that way'. I knew I was heterosexual when I was 4 and had a crush on the little girl down the street. She had a crush on me also.

Now, she is gay.

I think people are naive to believe all gays are born gay or that all gays make the choice. Like everything else in life, there is no clear cut line.

Because they can't understand what they haven't experienced. Although not everyone is like this. Usually it's just the people who have little understanding that there is OTHER lifestyles and beliefs out there who can't understand this. These are usually the people who have lived in fear of things they can't understand. Due to religion, parental brainwashing, etc.. Either that or they're too afraid/ashamed that they might have those tendencies themselves and feel the need to lash out at others because of it.

In some cases, they do. Sometimes they give up on the opposite sex and are hurt so much by them that they can't help but to turn to the same sex. I really don't think it's their fault, because broken hearts can make us do things that we don't want to.

A word to be meaningful must mean one thing. Is "gay" a tendency, or is it a lifestyle? (a series of actions) All of us have weaknesses, tendencies to do things that YHVH has condemned. It is when we choose to do those things in spite of warnings, and directions to the contrary that we displease Him. It is normal to feel affection for someone of the same sex. It is perversion to express that affection sexually. The Almighty gave men a great gift in love sex and marriage. If you take it apart, you destroy it!

Because they don't understand and are ignorant! It is rather the same as understanding any sexual preference that is hard-wired in to a persons brain and body.
