As a cowboys fan, I can honestly say, when they first signed Vanderjagt last season, I was really glad! I know that he lost that game for the Colts & all, but I just figured it was "one kick gone bad" and everything would be better. I was wrong... the guy is so pig headed - he thinks he is the best in the world, when he is SO wrong!!! I was SO happy when they released him & signed M.Gramatica! Almost every game the boys had with Vanderjagt, I just KNEW he was going to miss because he had been so bad lately - and i was right.
The guy needs to swallow his pride & retire. He will never be good again (if he ever was!) The Colts only got rid of "the best kicker in the league" (what Vanderjagt calls himself) because he ISN'T!!!!!
So, answer to your question, NO I do not think that he will find his rhythm with another football team - he keeps getting worse and he is a sore loser who gets all upset because he can't be everything he says he is. No one wants a man like that on their football team.... like Peyton said.... "idiot kicker".

Too much of kicking is mental... that said, the "Idiot Kicker" could pull something out. I think that if someone signs him, they should have another kicker for kickoffs and field goals, and make Vanderjagt kick only EP's until he gets his rhythm (and his killer mentality) back. Or on the flip side, make him do everything, kickoffs, field goals, EP's, maybe play a little QB... :D Just to get him going.

I don't see Vanderjagt kicking in the NFL unless a team is in DIRE NEED for a kicker. His mouth and his horribly inconsistent foot have gotten him in so much trouble lately that I don't see him kicking for a team next year or any years after that. He was a great kicker, but a terrible clutch kicker and he won't kick in the NFL again.

No, Probably Not. The kick against the Steelers was mesesed up. Someone probalbly paid him a ton of money to miss it

I think so, he was too good not to be playing (at least based on his career numbers, not counting the clutch kicks). He'll find his way onto some team next year.

Nope, it is over for him. His mental edge is gone. After he blew that kick against the Steelers he had the perfect chance to redeem himself in Dallas. He blew that and now his mind is gone.

Nope...kicking is a large portion mental. I think he's hit in that department.
