Only 'slightly' exaggerated? How many multi-million rock stars do you know? Are that many young women in danger of marrying twice in one year and having two babies one right after the other? Or becoming substance abusers and having the option of leaving two luxurious rehabs in less than a week?
The only similarity I see is that she has a job, and little education, and so has a limited future. If that's a clarion call its to go to college. And its not just American women.

I have to say that Britney has NO talent. She can't sing a note. She is/was an attractive girl who was exploited, because she wanted to be.
But no, Britney is NOT a version of the Typical Modern American Woman.

Well, there are some women who might fall into your theory. But, it's definetely not applicable for all women. There are some really good women out there who care for others, and are really conservative.
After all, we all have emotions and our own icons whom we try to follow. It's how we project ourselves in the society that really counts. The whole Britney thing is just a passing phase, and I'm sure we'll get over it soon.

the typical modern american women doesn't go out partying every night of the week when the divorced wearing next to nothing, they don't chose partying and drinking over thier kids, and they don't shave their heads when they go through a tough time in their life, and they don't have to go to rehab

You could be on to something, but you must remember Britney's demographics.
It's all about demographics. Those who fit - AND ONLY those who fit - Britney's demographics should be really concered about her ordeal.
It could, just could, happen to them.

Nope. Just misguided or not guided. For sure not thinking clearly, and she had best start today or she will wake up minus custody of those two children.

I hope not, and I actually don't think so. I think it's typical of today Brat Stars: they're young, spoilt, over-rated and really think that they're above laws and morals.

No, Britney is an example of a woman with loads of talent, thrust into the public eye too soon and being unable to handle those pressures. She lacks guidance and makes wrong choices, not learning from them.
Why couldn't Hillary be an example as well?
