your official policy is rigid lifestyle restrictions designed to prevent environmental change, as long as it doesn't involve yourself in any personal inconvenience, expense or sacrifice. Jay Kay has his sports cars, Sting and Bono their World Tours with chartered jets flying them, their entourages, equipment and, memorably, a hat about the place, Prince Chazza his luxury, kitted out airliners - so why should we listen to a word you have to say on the environment?

It's what the Green Paty is good at - hysterical eco-nazism. Environmentalism as political power. Do as I say, or else. They have no more intention of obeying their own dictats than Tony Blair has of renouncing Capitalism as living his life as a socialist - that's for other people. Go to a Green Party meeting to see for yourself; these idiots have no more intention of giving up one tiny little luxury including (as you point out) overseas flights. Sacrifice is for other people (i.e. you and me). Tree hugging berks.

It IS all about control. Control is power. Those celebrities don't give a damn about the environment. To them it's just an issue they can feel morally superior about and they need that because they know they are morally bankrupt. And it's something else they can criticize America about even though America is the primary reason they ARE celebrities. If the celebrity worshipers in this country would ignore them, they would stop spewing their self-righteous rhetoric.

Agree. To some degree. But at least they've kept the same core rallying cry throughout the years.

The rest are (only now) just starting to jump on the bandwagon.

But, irrespective, at least even this is a good thing.

Let's hope it finally makes a difference!
