I DO SO THAT I WON'T HAVE TO START NEW SENTENCES WITH CAPS ETC. IT'S BETTER TYPING LIKE THIS SO THAT I CAN JUST CARRY ON AND I CAN JUST ADD PUNCTATIONS AND I DON'T HAVE TO DO THE WHOLE LOT.

HAVE A GOOD ONE.

No.

For one, I personally don't like the look of all capitals.

Two, writing with all caps is the written equivalent of YELLING!

Three, lower-case fonts, at least those with serifs (such as Times) have been designed to help the eye flow from character to character, making reading easier. Although sans-serif fonts (such as Arial) don't have this quality, they still make for easier reading and less eye srain than capitals.

Understand that typing in caps is shouting and most find it offensive. Teach yourself to use caps or your typing skills will be useless in the real world.

The only time I use caps is if I want to call attention to a certain word or words in my sentence.

In written communique, persons are lacking out on actual gestures, vocal intonation and different indicators that would point out a vast variety of messages with a similar words. human beings reserve typing in caps for "yelling" and it rather is many times customary to be that way, or while used for one or 2 words it places emphasis on that area of the sentence in case you won't be able to ise italics. you will possibly no longer intend to be offensive even nonetheless it comes in the process like that. Plus, examining words that are capitalized ideal is way less demanding on the eyes and concepts. human beings study words no longer basically with letters, yet in addition with the aid of the "shape" of the be conscious. in case you're writing in all caps, the form is long previous via fact all letters are a similar length. This calls for extra attempt mentally and can be subtly laborious for long passages. in case you have imaginative and prescient issues, i might advise increasing the font length on your demonstrate. definitely, you're able to understand that the folk you're writing to don't have imaginative and prescient issues - it would make extra experience in case you asked human beings to variety bigger for you. A deaf individual yelling at those with a clever experience of listening to is obnoxious. confident, you're able to have some compassion for them - yet they might probable take a little time to tone it down if others enable them to correctly known that their voice is only too loud.

I thought typing in capitals was the online/electronic equivalent of shouting. It does seem quite aggressive if you think about it. Also some people find it harder to read words printed in capitals instead of lower case

It is easier to type with caps but then people tell me off because I am shouting.

It looks as though you are shouting, are illiterate, lazy, possessed of a dodgy keyboard or all of the aforegoing. If I was you, I would confine my capitals to proper nouns, acronyms, initials and the first word of every sentence.
