Hello...I live in Northern Germany (near Hamburg)...But, my advise to you is: go out, go in some sports clubs, churches (if you're religious) or any other social clubs, etc...or other places. You surely might find lots of friends in München (Munich). But, you have to become active and go out...Good luck!

Greetings from Germany..

Munich is really a big town with: restaurant, nightlife and accommodation listings, with hotelbye , you'll have a look. Munich may be the capital city of Bavaria and the third-most populous town in Germany. For generations the seat of the Dukes, Electors, and Kings of Bavaria, the Munich Residenz is without question among Europe's many spectacular palaces. Presented about eight big courts, the huge resident complicated comprises three main areas: the Königsbau, fronting into Max-Joseph-Platz; the Alte Residenz, experiencing Residenzstrasse; and the Festsaalbau (Banqueting Hall) overlooking the Hofgarten. The initial part with this big complex to be developed was the wonderful Antiquarium, built-in 1579 and today area of the exceptional Residenz Museum. Munich is just a city with a lot of record, be sure to examine it whole.

It is very good for Frankfurt, Berlin, and Munich. Unfortunately I live in Heidelberg and is not as much use as I want. There are a lot of people there and there are weekly events you can go to and socialize. Pick one of them post on the board and show up.

I'm pretty close...if you'd like to get together for a beer or maybe see the sights and just hang out, let me know. I'm staying a few kilometers south of you and know the area fairly well.
