IT IS A VERY GOOD QUESTION.

LET ME RECALL A QUOTABLE QUOTE:
“QUALITY MUST BE THE MANTRA AND WATCH WORD FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT” IN ANY FIELD AND WALK OF LIFE.
SWAMI VIVEKANANDA SAID,” GIVE ME A HUNDRED QUALIFIED ,EDUCATED QUALITY YOUTH , I WILL CHANGE INDIA SOON FOR THE BEST”.
EDUCATION PROVIDES KNOWLEDGE , WHICH LEADS TO WISDOM AND QUALITY OF THE PEOPLE.
ONCE QUALITY OF THE PEOPLE IS IMPROVED, COUNTRY WILL AUTOMATICALLY ATTAIN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.
TAMIL NADU POET, SUBRAMANIYA BHARATHI WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE QUALITY OF INDIAN PEOPLE IN THE EARLY 20TH CENTURY, WHILE SPEAR HEADING THE FREEDOM STRUGGLE OF INDIA AND CREATING AN AWAKENING AMONG THE POOR INDIAN MASSES BY HIS POWERFUL PATRIOTIC SONGS.
QUALITY?
HOW TO GET IT?
SAY QUALITY PRODUCTS?
QUALITY SERVICES?
QUALITY IS THE BASIC RAW MATERIAL FOR ANYTHING.
QUALITY CAN BE ACHIEVED ONLY BY EDUCATION .
WHAT HAPPENS NOW-A-DAYS?
A VERY LARGE SECTION OF INDIAN PEOPLE ARE ILLITERATE.
A VERY LARGE SECTION OF PEOPLE ARE MADE UP OF SCHOOL DROP OUTS.
A VERY LARGE SECTION OF PEOPLE DO NOT BUY AND READ NEWS PAPERS.
THEY GO BY WHAT OTHERS SAY.
THIS ATTITUDE OF ILLITERATE , POORLY READ AND EDUCATED MASSES WITH EQUAL VOTING POWERS( WE DON’T QUESTION THEIR VOTING RIGHTS) ELECT BAD ELEMENTS AN CRIMINALS TOO INTO THE ASSEMBLIES AND PARLIAMENT
THERE IS A PROVERB “ PEOPLE GET THE GOVERNMENT WHAT THEY DESERVE”
IF WE ARE TO GET A GOVERNMENT OF GOOD PEOPLE AS OUR REPRESENTATIVES ,THEN EDUCATION TO ALL IS A MUST.
WHEN THAT IS ACHIEVED, WE CAN EVEN GO FOR PRESCRIBING MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS TO CONTEST ELECTIONS ,WHICH WOULD ENSURE ONLY EDUCATED PEOPLE TO REPRESENT THE PUBLIC.
THEREFORE MAKING EDUCATION FREE IS A MUST TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF OUR POPULATION.
NOW HIGHER EDUCATION IS ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY THE RICH.
COUNTRY MEANS ITS’ PEOPLE AND THUS THE ROLE OF EDUCATION ,IN SHAPING A NATION IS WELL MEANT.
IF THIS IS DONE ,IN ANOTHER 40 YEARS INDIA WILL DEFINITELY BECOME A SUPER POWER AND IT BECOMES INEVITABLE.

The development of a country does depend on the people living within it. Without the votes, your minister wouldn’t be standing where he is. A person without knowledge may not choose the right person. They may be influenced or gullible.

So that is why free education is so important. They will build you future, because we can't predict what will happen.

Every individual is gifted with different rate of intelligence. If education is free then studnts can study the subject they like and qualify. Government interference and fixing qoutas is not going to help the nation.Reducing requsite degree of knowledge for aparticular subject/profession is not going to produce expert in any field. Science has no scope in India. So the future is bleak. ministers are illiterate or semi literate. This is also ahandicap.
The government has created thge scheduled caste. so it will remain so for ever.
