Active, persistent, and careful consideration of any belief or supposed form of knowledge in the light of the grounds that support it, and the further conclusions to which it tends, constitutes thought.

I dont think it can be defined, not fully anyway

for me thought it something that is created from a spark of creativity, what that spark is I can't define, some say it is an instinct, born from our own DNA, maybe it is , I mean does a mother bird think, I better go get some food for my chicks, or does it just do it?

Its the age old question with out information would we think? I mean before we were born did we think?(in gestation) I doubt it

For me : Thought is a reaction to information around us.

I had a thought enter my noggin many years ago, from whence I know not, it was this :

"Does thinking it so, make it so ?"

Now, many years later, and many strange experiences ( none of which drug related or induced ) I have come to the conclusion that that question is, itself, ridiculous.

Quite simply if nothing is thought there would be nothing. Or, perhaps more simply, it is thought that acts, literally, as the 'Creative Force'.

Anyone who has seen "What the Bleep do we know" will probably be familiar with the concept that it the observation that brings order to the particles and causes them to organise into observable matter. Observation appears to collapse the wave-form and induce particular form.'

It seems to me that observation and thought are fairly interchangeable.

Thought is always subjective, the profundity of which is governed by the amount of information available to the given mind. It is impossible to consider the nature of Matter objectively since all thought is merely Matter considering Matter.
The Molecules of the various Elements of which our Brains are composed are exactly the same as the Molecules of the various Elements which compose a dog turd. Only compositons can differ. The atoms of Carbon, Magnesium, etc are identicle in all Matter. As I have said, Thought is merely Matter considering Matter.

A firing of various cortexes in your mind, which produce a light and mobile energy form...a thought. These thoughts have the power to create your reality on a conscious, unconscious and superconscious, and metaphysical level. So pay attention to the things you are thinking about, and if they are not good, change them quickly to something much more positive!

Think about some people thinking in words and some thinking in pictures. Did you know that? Two different interpreters of the same process.
If you think in words then you share your body with someone who thinks in pictures. Obviously you like to think that you make the majority of decisions but obviously you find yourself doing things that you really don't want to do. Now if you do something wrong and it was the picture-thinkers decision then you get punished too. The punishment should be blindness rather than punishing me (word-thinker).

a little knowledge is dangerous.

I think that it is a combination of our memories and future forecasts, combined with a lot of feelings. Something which our brain regards as most important to recall just in a very moment. To master our thinking is very difficult, however: can you order your brain to think something specified?
