I think it's great that Peyton deferred his 10 million dollar bonus to save the Colts 8 million in cap room. Sounds like he's thinking about going BACK to BACK in the Super Bowl! That's a team player to me. I know he's not the first one to do this. Who else can you remember that has done it?

I'm impressed...but it needed to be done if they were going to get the players they needed to repeat. He has a huge contract as it is but like I said, I was impressed that he stepped up and did that. It doesn't matter since he'll make back all that money and then some on MORE endorsements! lol..

Brady signed for less money to stay with the Patriots (and thus not kill the salary cap).

Elway did that 3 years in a row, deferred a bonus in order to save cap room. It does say they care more about winning that money....good to see

sorry to break it to u but the patriots have done this for years and it helps them get more good to very good players. they are very deep cuz of this tactic. good move by manning,,,,
