A little scary, I'd say, and unrepresentative of opinion throughout the country, so, I must ask, why are Yahoo anser people skewed to the crazy side?

Concluding that "people on the left" or liberals believe 9/11 was a ruse is as nutty as people that believe 9/11 was a ruse.

If so many Americans believe this propaganda Imagine the amount of Muslims in the Middle East that believe Bush allowed the World Trade Center to be destroyed by his own hand.
This propaganda pours out of Al-Jazeera TV. Think of these Professors that are the main perpetrators of this propaganda in the U.S.A.. They ALL have one thing in common. They ultra-left and basically hate the idea of Capitalism.
I know it doesn't "seem" as an important issue because they could be written off as wacko's but imagine these nut job Americans getting put on Al-Jazeera TV, from a clip of the O'Reilly factor or Lou Dobbs. It is explosive news among Muslims in the Middle East and the media there twists it and say "See even the American citizens know that 9/11 was a rouse to invade our land."
Hence the recruitment of thousands more insurgents flowing in from outside the country of Iraq.
This is the devastating reality. America being forced into a Cold War that we can't win because of the Democratic far Lefty's thirst for power rather than wanting what is best for America.

Some people are easily led. There are some legitimate questions about 9/11 and they should be asked, but the majority of contentions just ignore basic facts. The people spreading misinformation on this issue tend to ignore facts which don't fit the conspiracy and in some cases are guilty of outright falsehoods to support their claims. People should ask questions and I don't have a problem with that, but the major problem is many don't really research the issue. Instead they choose to believe as gospel any wild claim that is made. From what I have seen, even on Yahoo Answers, the people who believe these claims are very much in the minority, as is the case with most conspiracy theories in general.

Yes, it is difficult to fathom. I know some of the physics and chemistry behind what happened and I have discussed this with my wife who is an architectural engineer, and I have to come down on the terrorist attack side of the arguement.
I'm not a big fan of BushCo, quite the contrary, but it's hard to believe anyone would do such a thing to his own country. Then again, Saddam was pretty evil in that respect, but his evil was fueled by ethnic and religious factors. Same with Hitler. This attack was both deadly and symbolic and struck at the financial security of America.

Some people are wired different and have this insane need to believe things that are off the wall. The more extreme the idea the faster they will believe it.

Yes. On your second question, the perspective is one that I can't understand. We all saw what happened. Al qaeda took responsibility and were very happy about it. Surely everyone saw that also.

The documentary I saw on TV that claimed that 9/11 was a US govt. fabrication was very convincing.... it was hard to argue with the photographic proof.

It is VERY scary that the morons on the left can think up these theories...and to those whom say try burning steel with gas...there were a lot more factors....the impact and INTENSE fire created from ROCKET FUEL compressed from impact WILL cause it to burn hotter than needed to MELT..not burn...STEEL...and as to the "FOX NEWS WATCHER"...CNN has obviously ,along with the other LIBERAL press, obliviated any grey matter you may have had...

I think it is only 1 or 2 folks with multiple personality disorder, each day a new persona says it is their turn to post that stuff.
