it's not that its bad particularly it's just too often used as a reason for them to be able to participate in intimate activities with that other person....i would agree that middle schoolers are mature enough to date (a date is like dinner and a movie) i don't think that they are ready for dating the way that adults do (dinner, movie, and then sex)....even if emotionally they feel like they can handle this (which even as adults we can't handle the emotions that come along with sex sometimes)there are more things to worry about then just emotions....you could physically have a baby! which you and/or your middle school parter are neither one mature enough to handle.....don't rush yourselves....have fun go to a movie, watch tv together, do fun stuff like that but save the sex for later.....just because you are "dating" doesn't mean you have to have sex....and i hate to break it to you but sex isn't really that great when you are that young anyways you just aren't on that level yet....so as long as you aren't using dating as an excuse for other things to be allowed....heck yea date away!

I dated in middle school and I am sure that at the time I felt like I was very mature about the whole thing. Looking back on it now (I'm 28) I realize just how little I knew then about anything. Please don't take offense as I'm talking about me not you. As a young teen I was still unsure of what I wanted out of a relationship, I still took things way too seriously, my emotional immaturity made it all so dramatic. I fell in love, or thought I did, and then was utterly heartbroken when it didn't work out. I wasted countless hours wondering things like does he like me... why doesn't he like me... how can I get him to like me. I looked older at the time and so I ended up dating older guys who introduced me to things I was way to young for although I didn't think so then. I guess what I am trying to tell you is that because I dated so young I know first hand just how many reasons there are to wait a little while and develop a little more as a person. You have years to date and experience the ups and downs of relationships. Having said all of that if you are anything like me your probably thinking "but I'm different, I'm ready, I'm more mature". Whatever you decide to do in life I wish you the best of luck!

My God!! What planet are you from? There should be a rule that someone has to have a basic understanding of the English language before they are allowed to play on the Internet.
