Well the question pretty much explains its self.
Just to make sure, I thought it only means "Hey we are good friends, Good night"
Don't want to be sending out the wrong message.

You're talking about friends of the opposite sex, right?

So my question to you is; do you kiss friends of the same sex on the cheek? If you are under the age of 30, you probably ARE sending the wrong message.

Try a hug...
Kiss on the cheek is an initiation of intimate contact...

Usually, "friends" that have been intimate and settled to a friendship...remain kissy without sending the wrong message to each other...but still convey something much different to others looking in.

A kiss or to on the cheek is totally harmless. Most European countries do it and even a good percentage of Western society knows that is a term of affection and greeting nothing else.
If you kiss some body on the mouth however that means a totally different thing.
If some body takes it as a sign of romantic interest they are either very unworldly or desperate.

If I kiss a guy on the cheek it means like we are close and he can always get away with that much.
But I don't kiss him on the cheek unless I like him a little more than friends - that just sends like the wrong message.

Yes you are right, but it doesn't rule out more

Be careful, It could still send the wrong message

Could mean 'I like you, but I respect you and don't know if you want me to kiss you on the mouth', but if its someone you're in a relationship with, its just very sweet, plain and simple.
