ipod question?

I went to use my ipod the other day and all but one of the songs were erased. What would cause this??? The ipod is a 30gb with video. It's brand new, I've only used it a couple of times...

Something could be wrong with your ipod. Try hooking it up to your computer again and see if your songs go back on it. If not, take it to your nearest apple strore and ask them for help.

did you hook it up to a different computer that had itunes as well, and updated it on the different computer with different songs? if so hook it up to your computer with your songs on it, and they should be back on there
