Wisdom cannot be defined, so called scholars have made much corruption in those such words, which were designed to understand the realities, and forces our minds or understanding capabilities to think about them in much wider sense or beyond five material senses, and yes if you see the definitions closely you can understand the meaning of wisdom clearly, because that (most of the meanings) falls under material perceptions, and so the words like these, you do have the definition, and not more then that.
It does not mean science, philosophy, deep thoughts, and literacy etc. Wisdom is the understanding and implementation of true religion, truth, into the life and character, and surely the blessings from God. Wisdom is given to the Prophets, Saints and to the truthful.
Others are said to be just informative persons, gathering of information and making good speech is not a wisdom.

Georg C. Lichtenberg:
One's first step in wisdom is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything.
Martin Fischer:
Knowledge is a process of piling up facts; wisdom lies in their simplification.
George Burns:
Too bad that all the people who really know how to run the country are busy driving taxi cabs and cutting hair.
Marlene Dietrich:
I love quotations because it is a joy to find thoughts one might have, beautifully expressed with much authority by someone recognizably wiser than oneself.

In English, 'flourit' means the age of dawning or
flowering of wisdom; it also means the age of 40. (See
a multi-volume dictionary in a library). Generally, In
men, the faculty of mind called 'intellect' starts
functioning after the age of 40 years. You will rarely
see the 'two faced' or split-personality-like behavior
in men who are older than 40 years age.

Here is my take.....
Wisdom is a characterisitic of mind over and above logic and intellect, generally attained through experience, which leads one to the right decisions and choices in life.
I hope you would like this crisp definition just coined by me.

We learn as we grow and gather knowledge. From this knowledge, we gain understanding of life's ups and downs; we learn how to deal with situations and here is where wisdom is realised.
