I have a spear copy of the Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon.

It’s never been opened and never been played, it still has the plastic cover on it.

It was purchased in 1973 a little while after the albums release.

According to the "Rare Record Price Guide 2006" a mint copy of the album "The Dark Dide Of the Moon"(LP first pressing, solid light blue triangle label, black inner,2 posters and 2 stickers, gatefold sleeve, only one side opening) on the Harvest Label SHVL 804 would be worth £400.
Two other LP'S of the same title but differing specifications were also released both these are only worth between £12 and £20.
I hope you have the first one! Good Luck.

Your best source to find out would be Record Collector Magazine. Since this album was so popular and sold huge numbers of copies it's unlikely to be worth a huge amount. What seems to matter in vinyl sales is either a) Rareity or b) Signatures of the band or individuals involved or assocaited photographs etc.

If it was the first to be pressed it might be worth something, or if all the original members had signed it it would again be worth something. (The White Album by the beatles had numbers on the sleeves indicating which was pressed first and the lower the number the more it's worth). I wouldn't say you'd get any more than £10-15 for it and that's just based on the fact it's in good condition and it's a classic record with some iconic art work on it.

As I say, Record Collector Magazine is your best bet.

Audiophiles love that s--t speedball. Millions of copies of this album around as you know, but few unopened. I would be guessing so I say go to the bookstore, go to the antiques and Collectable section, grab a copy of recent prices for collectable albums and look it up for free.
