The biggest mover will surely be BMW. Their testing was hampered early on by certain problems, but they have been ironed out and the car seems to be very competitive. I reckon it even has speed to win races, even though the folks from Munich always release understated goals for the year (this year they're planning only to increase their number of podiums... slightly). Red Bull may be the next shaker, their car is fast, but apparently lacks long-run consistency for now.

I like the Red Bull team of
Mark Webber and
David Coulthard
this season. I think the Red Bull engine is better than what Williams)Webbers former team) has been using in the past, and the change in scenery will do Webber well. The team won't finish in the top 3, but I think a 5-7 or maybe even a 4 finish are a possibility. I expect a strong season out of Webber and a podium or two from Coulthard.
The new Red Bull engine is powered by Renault and designed by former McLaren legend Adrian Newey. I like the changes this team has made and I think they will have a good season.
The Williams team was just awful last year, with only 16/36 cars finishing races. Of these the best was Webber, who had a few 6th place finishes and a few 10th place finishes. So Williams will probably improve.
Honda has been reported having some problems already and the season is about 24 days away, I don't see any improvement there and perhaps a downgrade. Its a shame because I do like Jenson Button.

Very good question. I think, apart from the "Big Three", soon to be a normal F1 two-horse race, (because Renault will almost certainly move down to 3rd), BMW and Honda are the teams to watch out for. They will perhaps even compete with Renault for 3rd place, while leaving Ferrari and McLaren battling it out for the championship. But mark my words, Renault will Fall. I'm 1000% sure of that. Apart from BMW and Honda, Toyota and Williams will fight for the 6th and 7th positions and the rest will fill the last four places. Toyota, with all their resources still have to come up to the level of the Hondas and the BMWs. They might do it. They might not do it. They're really surprising people. I hope that answers your question. BTW, really nicely asked question. Good.

In terms of the teams pre season testing indicates that BMW has improved the most. But the jury is out on that as it has often proved that Race pace is very different. During testing there is a lot of experimentation going on.
However for the people concerned Ross Brawn could become a team boss. That would be interesting.
M.S may take a more direct role by the middle of the year.
But the teams to watch out for are Toyota and Williams.

McLaren will be the most improved team. Alonso is now without any doubt the best driver now that Schuey has retired and Hamilton is going to be a great driver. If MB can supply McLaren with a competitive and reliable motor they are unbeatable.

The continuity of sticking with the same drivers will put Honda in a strong position. Robert Kubica will shine as BMW continue to improve. Williams will benefit from the use of toyota engines and their own expertise and Anthony Davidson will prove that he should have been given a drive two seasons ago

of the "other" teams more than likely Honda and Toyota, BMW will be the best teams. Williams have just not impressed and STR and RB are just not good enough.
as for the "Most improved team" that might actually be someone as small as Super Aguri, they will still be dead last right behind Spyker, but they will be the "most improved"
