Your suitable guess, with a pond that length, is to have a specialist come take a glance at it. it could have some extreme issues of it. Or it could have been something small that the previous proprietors could no longer be certain. yet by using fact it is in disrepair, a specialist would desire to be waiting to tell you what ought to be fixed. optimistically it isn't the lining desiring to get replaced. If the lining is leaking, the leak ought to be discovered, and repaired, which would be very extreme priced. If the filters and pumps are the situation, which would be an much less complicated restoration, yet nonetheless costly. you will come across a pond specialists interior the phonebook, under 'Ponds'. Edit: i replaced into hoping Pondlady could take place. Her solutions are often spot on.

Kois are acually pretty expensive fish, so sell them to your nearest aquarium, or pet store. But why take away the pond? The kids will grow and in the mean time you can put a gate around it. A pond its such a beautiful thing to have in a backyard and several people (incuding me) really want a pond in their backyard. Plus you probably payed extra for it when you bought the house. =)

Ponds are actually very sedative..... Have you thought about buying a very inexpensive bio-filter for the pond and just place a pond cage over the top of the water for security with the kids and other vermin that may get into it? Ponds are great!!

Go to a local pet shop, they will know of any pond owners in the area, or maybe you could put a card up in their shop

Kois are quite expensive actually, especially in Asia. You can just sell them if you want. Maybe sell them to friends or friends of your friends? They might help you with selling them. But I think ponds are beautiful and gives luck to your home according to feng shui (if you believe in such things though).

Just advertise them in a local newspaper. I've done this - you'd be surprised how efficient it is, they'll be gone in no time.
