Would like to visit southern Ireland for a while and work my way...Fisheries and fishing is my specialty...how can I find work?

Sounds grea to far...having an EU passport from Italy, will I need to do any paperwork to start working in Ireland? And,
Can anyone drop me a contact in the industry? I'd like to line something up if I can...Thanks for you help

No its not hard , a lot of the deckhands in the Irish fishing industry
are from East Europe nowadays ,also have some spanish .
If you are experienced you will have no trouble getting a start on a boat You could get hired on the dock in the bigger ports like Dunmore East or Castletownbere .It is mostly trawling on the south coast .
there can be a high turnover of crew even on better boats as economy in Ireland is so good at the moment

I'd say you will have no problem...

Besides fishing jobs there is a lot of construction going on throughout the country.
