FA admit mistakes? IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!! The usual English way will prevail ie to allow McClaren to take charge right up till they qualify for the EURO2008. Media or public pressure won't make a difference.
England making the finals - 50-50.
England making the quarters - unlikely.
England winning EURO2008 - sheer fantasy!!

Ive always disagreed with the FA giving him the job in the first place, it was a step back and I didn't think he has enough experience to manage the national team. However, the confidence of the team will suffer if he was to be replaced so soon and he deserves a chance.

knowing the fa they will keep him on as long as possible as otherwise they will have to admit they made a mistake!!
they got their man and they will back him completely. in an interview after mcclaren was appointed martin o'neil said that yes they had spoken to him about the job but never once asked if he would accept it!! now call me stupid but if you're talking to someone about a job, you at least make sure they would accept the job if offered!! to me, this just makes it seem that mcclaren was who the fa wanted all along.

No the FA stuck to Erikkson out of its own idiotic pride remember? They will give McLaren a while too.
I won't be too hasty England despite losing to Spain are far from washed up. He deserves a extended chance.

the guy is getting the sack even if he won england the euro 2008 trophy. he is going before then though. the guy has no good reason whatsever in his resolve to exclude David Beckam from the team. me think, he did that to settle old scores rather than been expert on what he is paid to do. all beckam's critics are simply jealous of the guys way of life rather than his failures in the pitch. anyway, to answer your question, his position as England boss will remain shaky as long as he continue excluding iconic David Beckam from the team which he helped listening Erickson to build. we wish him good luck as he welcome the great guy back to the team.
