My story is set in the early Victorian era.
There is a 19 year old girl named Anne. Since she was a child, she was teased often because of her mother, who was rather too spirited, too honest...just a woman far from being a conventional lady. ANyways, Anne's father hated Anne's mother, and Anne, though she loved her mother, was embarrassed of her.
Anne was born a spirited and romantic girl, but because of having witnessed people treating her mother inferiorly, Anne has suppressed her true character and hid behind a social mask. So, my question is, how would she act in public? Would she be shy, perhaps? Or cold and always composed? And how can I show in my story of how inconvenient it is to act like the lady you are not? And what can the problems me that she comes across due to her having suppressed her true character?
Be creative ;)

with the implications that her mother was very loving, i would say that this girl should tend to have a need to conform to the norm. she should have a need to impress people, overtly trying to dismiss her mother's character behind her mother's back, and smothering people to the point of annoyance when she thinks she has made a friend. social interaction will be important to her, but she will be very very insecure about her own nature, therefore she will one-up people in conversation, and try to belittle others (in a joking but annoying manner) to make herself feel better. she should eventually outgrow this..............
.....and chuck norris will pass through town teaching her everything she needs to know about kickboxing, then everyone will bow to her because she will be lethal (j/k about that last part).

How this. Anne is a shy girl, who never looks in somebody’s eyes for more than a second or two, she often looks to the ground when speaking, with a soft voice.
She mite have a secret love, but because she is afraid to let ppl know how she feels, treats this person rude but always looking at him from a far. Desperately longing for his affection.

nicely, for my maximum recent tale, i became inspired by utilising television. regularly television evokes me anyhow. yet this one is distinctive. i became watching Terra Nova on television, and regardless of the certainty that it wasn't that great of a instruct, I nevertheless observed the skill in it. and then i desperate that writing a different with dinosaurs could be so cool, and something so in assessment to something i've got ever accomplished in the previous. So then I embarked on all this making plans with each physique of those distinctive characters, and it became going to happen interior the jungle with dinosaurs. Then I persisted the making plans technique and rewrote outlines. Then i all started, and wrote a adverse commencing up i finished up scrapping. And now i've got have been given the assumption down. And the humorous factor is, dinosaurs are not even a factor of it anymore. So the factor that extremely inspired this novel, would not even exist interior the unconventional anymore. It does nevertheless, besides the incontrovertible fact that, happen interior the jungle, however the assumption is basically approximately thoroughly distinctive from the unique inspired concept.

Let her be tactful, but witty when answering and going with the public... You know... someone everyone likes and listens to. Let her be a person who does what she wants in a clandestine manner... She has a weekly or nightly meeting with a guy who has the same spirit with her... They share a lot of things together and she is to be betrothed to another by her father... but her mother doesn't like the guy... snooty and stuff. you know...
and maybe you can add the thing she loves to do the most... anything... that no one knows but her... and she is discovered by her father... then the bad climax happens and the ending is up to you...
Hope it helps in your story...

i think that she should ignore what happens around her and mind her own businness. after some while, maybe she could do something to change the perspective of other people around her.
