The telescope's a MEADE ETX 60...its objective lens is broken (don't ask how). Where and how can i get a new lens. Does the company sell parts like these? I bought this from a family friend.i live in India. Does anyone know a person who can make this lens (preferably in Hyderabad, A.P). i think its a Plano- convex

A Meade ETX-60 telescope has a 60mm Achromatic objective with a focal length of 350mm. It is definitely not a simple plano convex lens. (See page 29 of the source, which is the manual for that telescope.) I think it will be extremely difficult to find a replacement. I would be surprised if Meade would even sell you one. I did find two 60mm objectives on eBay, but they had the wrong focal length. There are several complete ETX-60 telescopes for sale on eBay though.

U can loot one from my physics teacher! mayb try visiting the craft shops or spects shops they might have tonnes ;)
