I love Finland. The lakes, the saunas, the free-for-all mountain huts in the national parks. The silence in the forests. The exotic language that seems like no other. The cloudberry jam. Elks by the roadside. The otherworldliness of the Lapland summer evening. The open skies and the general underpopulation. The frontier town ambience. The wood and felt crafts. The calmness of the inhabitants (except around midnight on Friday or Saturday nights when all hell breaks loose!). The slight tinge of Eastern European backwardness... Fantastic place!

I have never heard of the country of Island, But Iceland I my favorite Scandinavian country.

Island (Iceland) and Grønland (Greenland) are also parts of Scandinavia...But, my favorite Scandinavian country is Sverige (Sweden)! I love that country very much...

Denmark, especially Copenhagen. I lived there for nearly 2 years. Love the country and the people. High taxes, but great services. A transport system like theirs would probably solve the UK's problems.

Sweden for me too - I worked there years ago and loved it. All the miles and miles of trees, green space and lovely waterways. The archepelago around Stockholm are awesome, so much to see and do.
What I especially loved was seeing the occasional moose - which were huge compared to how I thought they would look.
