dust that is more than an inch thick is just a protective coating anyway- i never met a woman that was totally into here house that didn't get a divorce- if you prioritize right you can keep a neat house not a perfectly clean one and keep your family happy too there is plenty of time to clean when your old and only 2% of the people polled on this survey that i read say they keep there house spotless may be that has something to do with the divorce rate in the U.S.

I'm a total slob. I clean it when I have to, like when I've lost something important. Sometimes, however, I go through periods when I take pride in my space (apartment) and keep it clean. This doesn't last.

That means that you don't really care about your house, as soon as you'll need to get to your place to relax from your exciting life, it won't be the same thing as if you took care of it...
