i make master in steel making , so i need this data . i searched in many books but i did not find it.
i am in bad need for this data as i do material and energy balance in electric arc furnace, iam an assistant in the dept. of metallurgy, faculty of engineering , cairo university,

Do a google search, you will get good number of answers. Hope following gives you good idea:

Source 1:
Melting point (°C ) 1715
Specific heat ( J °K-1 kg-1 ) 670-740 @ 25°C

Source 2:
Melting Point 1600 °C (softening)
Specific Heat Capacity 703 J Kg-1 K-1

The melting point is 1710 C and as far as the other part of your question, I think I found you an excellent web site that may just answer your question.
