Hi,
If these two are your only choice I would pick Hotel Nikko. One thing good about this hotel is just across the street is Ampang Park (a small shopping mall) you can get some fast food there and also the Putra LRT Railway. From the airport you can just take the aero train to KL Sentral and from there you take the Putra LRT to Ampang Park.
By taking the Putra LRT Railway you can visit the following places:
1. Petronas Twin Tower - KLCC (which you can walk from your hotel or just take LRT to KLCC)
2. Petaling Street - China Town (stop at Pasar Seni)
3. Central Market - Malaysian Crafs & Gifts (stop at Pasar Seni)
4. Sunway Pyramid/Lagoon - a shopping mall & water park (Kelana Station from here you take a bus)
5. Shopping Heaven – Sg Wang, Lot 10, Star Hill, Time Square (LRT > Dang Wangi Exchange it to Monorail KL Bukit Nanas > Bukit Bintang / Imbi)
6. KL Tower (LRT to Dang Wangi)
Can’t be reached by LRT. Take the Taxi or Tour Guide
7. Lake Gardens - Taman Tasik Perdana (Bird Park)
8. Batu Caves
9. Merdeka Square
If you are not a shopping person try heading to Melaka or Penang. Sorry, I can’t help much. I hope you will enjoy your stay.
Regards,
Yoke

I think Nikko hotel, is much more better for just 5 days stay. Across the road of Nikko hotel is 2 shopping complex. Its cheap n lots of good bargain items. If you looking for souvenirs and mobile goods. Just about 10 minutes walking distance is KLCC, one of the most place in KL, its has Petronas twin tower, if you may hv time, take a tour up to level 44, for a eye of KL, and browse around KLCC shopping centre for anything branded you love. Rest and relax at the garden view for one evening is enuf. Enjoy mamak stall just nearby the Nikko hotel on the left side of the hotel takes abt 5 minutes walking its kinda fun too. If you like to taste some malaysian food.
Transportation much more easier frm nikko hotel to all the attraction in KL.

Definitely the 5-star Nikko, Grand Season's a 3-star hotel and it shows. Nikko's located in the city's CBD and a short walking distance to the Twin Towers (shopping, F&B outlets); while Season's locality is 3rd rate. You should check out 4 to 5 star hotels in the Bukit Bintang district - the city's main shopping area.
Authentic Malaysian buys include: Royal Selangor (pewterware); Kelantan handmade silvercraft; batik...
Check Tourism Malaysia website for places to visit, things to do.

Im from Texas and I'd tell you to try any of the taquito stands you'll find in South Texas. I've traveled to many states and never found anywhere that had them, and if by some miracle they did, they never even compared to the delicious taste. Even chef Emeril Lagassi did a travel show and when he stopped in Texas he had some of these taquitos and absolutely loved them!

only one advise:
on your way here, if so happen you meet a guy keep telling you grandmother stories like robbers, knife, police, passport, monkeys, etc. over and over again, it's your obligation to kick his butt three times and slap his face twice or you'll throw up right away hearing it.
don't worry he won't fight back. he's too coward or don't have balls to fight, even to fight a stupid criminal with knife point
