I feel like I just want to leave this country and my parents behind and take the woman of my life somewhere people don't no us. Please help me! I'm going insane!

My parent's disowned me because I dropped out of university.
At some point, you just have to do what's right for you. Either they will learn to deal with it or they won't.
Threatening to withdraw their love/support/attention is a tactic that people frequently employ as a form of manipulation. Personally, I believe that the best way to deal with this sort of behavior is to ignore it. Do what feels right for you.
Of course, you may be taking a pretty big risk. I'm genuinely sorry that you have to make this choice. :(

Your parents are bigots you will just have to try to understand that part of your life is now gone. You have made a new family with your wife and the children that will be part of it. Concentrate on the future and leave the past behind.
Perhaps some day the scales will fall off their eyes and they will realize it was a stupid thing to do but not now.

my cousin and I both married Catholic girls...neither goes to church..but they won't go to our Church..Lutheran..well you just tell your folks that thats the way it is with you and you did not pick your parents partner for life and they can't either...if you are going insane then you probably should not be marrying anyone as once you get married the relationship with your parents will never be the same..and they know that..it just stupid to let relegion get in the way of a good mate..

Sit them down and explain that stupid bigoted rivalries such as theirs are why religion does more harm than good.
Just tell them straight that your mind is made up and they have to make up theirs as to if they can accept their son and his family as they are, or if some archaic words in a book mean more to them than you.
And no offence but if they pick the bible over their own son, I think you're better off with your wife than your parents. Wouldn't leave the country though, just tell them you can't accept them until they can accept her.

The best thing you can do is disown your partents. You can't help who you love believe me you can't.
Go with your heart and forget your parents they will always be your parents and love you no matter what.You can't be choosey these days you love who you love.

Grow up, while your at it. Quit letting your parents rule your life. You are married now, so love your wife, and let your parents be idiots. You cant help it if they are stupid. So quite playing games with them and love this women, and stay away from them, dont call them, and if they call you and give you a hard time, hang up.
You are letting them mess with you, quit doing that.

Remember this, parents need their children a lot more than children need their parents. If the relationship breaks down because of their unreasonable demands they will lose much more than you will. Talk to them, tell them how you feel, but stand by your choices.

Man shall leave his parents and be joined to his wife remind your parents of that, plus catholicism is one of the most accomodating and liberal religions on earth. Whatever your parents have against catholics it is unfounded. Get your future wife to convince them of that.

I say if they don't like it don't come around!!!!! after a few weeks they will start to miss you & start asking questions why your not talking to them, tell them your true feeling have an arguement,they'll storm off!!!!!DO THIS ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES????? then they will wake up to themselves!!!!!

ask them what might god think of there choice to dissown you because you ARE GOING TO MARRY A CHATHOLIC WOMAN .at least you found a person who openly admits to even beleiving in god!!!!
