beauty is a concept that should not be limited to physical aspects and as said before it is in the eye of the beholder. Someone can look at Tiger Woods swingin a golf club and proclaim "Thats a thing of beauty", another will say the same of Ronaldinho in action and another will person will be like so what of the very same events. The same goes with physical beauty in a person. Its all down to the beholder as the saying goes.
So what I believe is beauty is something that elicits a certain uplifting response in an individual, I guess there are biological explanations involving endorphins or some such stuff I wouldnt know, but beauty is to anyone something that elicits true appreciation from the individual, whether physical or otherwise. I think it is difficult to generlise it.
ps It definately has nothing to do with a size zero body

What is beauty?
I see beauty an indulgence, a feast for the eyes, and craving for the mind. This relation is simple. Nothing seems to come out of beauty having a lasting impression of goodness. More to do with its nature, beauty is both aesthetic and emotional. It is an arduous task, in fact, defining beauty as it stand, and not accounting the persistence in time, more than ever having a diminishing effect on its value. Beauty is alluring, on the sound, color, smell, shape etc that strike an emotional accord with whomever in view of this attraction.
On the other hand, we are prone to the voluptuous desires that associate beauty of various kinds and commitment will end in self-destruction. Over its indulgence that breed the obsession, thus making a fool and behaving like one in the eyes of whomever having a conviction on our condemnation. Nevertheless, beauty has its perpetuity when appreciated in liaison with love, rather than mere infatuation that end so abruptly with no memory.

Something that refreshes your mood. Something that is not only seen but felt.
Most of the times it is believed that beauty depends on eyes of the beholder. When you are happy, the whole world seems to be beautiful, else it's always ugly. At such instances it's the phase of your mind that has actually turned beautiful. Most of the times it's in the ugly phase of stress, tensiosn, worries, etc.
Why kids are looked upon as creations more beautiful than the most attractive girl in the world? Cos their beauty comes out of their innocence. They don't rasie any desire in you but still create an impact on your minds. Something you can look at and show the heartiest smile...

An exact definition for beauty is not possibe, nor is it a requirement for beauty. Therefore, anything one considers beautiful is true only for the beholder. A general definition, in my view, is that it is anything which inspires, awes or gives a feeling of wonder.

In my mind beauty is nothing. But my friend told U can see beauty in a poor man's face. My colleage told beauty is god. My brother said beaty is nature. I'm confused what is the exact meaning of beauty. It's nothing but what u think. Also it is heart's attraction

There is no exact meaning unless you know the exact point of view.
There is only one exact point of view, and it is unknowable--the cosmic mind, source of LOGOS.
So, we choose to define beauty on our own terms and settle for that, or we press into the Cosmic Mind of God and spend our lives discovering beauty that we would never have conceived on our own.
As Pirsig would say, "The more (beauty) you come to know, the more (beauty) you realize that you don't know".

As the first answerer said, it depends on the viewer's eyes. But according to me the real beauty lies in heart and truth. A person is said to be beautiful if he/she is showing good qualities and having a kind heart. If he/she is very beautiful (facial beauty) and behaves rude towards others, they would be considered as ugly persons. So I conclude my answer saying that interior qualities decide whether we are beautiful or ugly.

Hi dear Beauty is not for the extaarnal r internal ,but it is should be in u r heart for others just think u r beautiful in u r self, u would like u r self even other hate u ,but that is not the matter.But even then u should love them, who hates u that is the beauty .it is difficult to understand but try it
