What a bunch of sadists! The poor guy can't help it; he'd stop snoring if he could. Do you people really not get it that this is a medical condition, not a bad habit?
If his snoring is really loud and disruptive, chances are good that he has a condition called sleep apnea, which MUST be taken seriously. Untreated sleep apnea not only stresses both the snorer and everyone else in the house who can't get a good night's sleep, it can also lead to heart malfunction and death! Some people think that only overweight men have sleep apnea, but that is totally untrue.
Apnea is easily treated with the use of a night-breathing aid called a CPAP. He must see a sleep doctor before he can get one, as they have to be individually adjusted, but most insurance covers the cost. CPAP eliminates snoring 100% and keeps his heart from being damaged. Surgery is very rarely used to treat apnea, as the success rate is not that good.
Please get him to ask his doctor to refer him to a sleep doctor or sleep clinic ASAP. These facilities often have a long waiting list, and procrastinating can really damage his health. Do it today. This is not a joke or a person being mean -- he needs medical treatment ASAP!

aww poor guy.... he can't help it! Maybe he should see a doctor or a sleep therapist?
Putting a pillow over his face is really dangerous. If he's snoring he isn't breathing correctly in the first place. Most people who snore do so because they have something called Sleep Apnea, which means that the body LITERALLY forgets to breathe during sleep. You could very easily suffocate him.
Just roll him over. It helps if he's on his side.

My husband uses some of those nasal spray things and they help. He's usually just congested when he snores.

Why dont you try pouring hot water in his face everytime he starts snoring. Better still find another man who does not snore.
