AJ Trabaldo from California who works in a shipping firm and have tried to audition five times is now among the Top 24 finalists (American Idol 2007).

I'm pretty sure there was one just recently. If not Filipino then SE Asian of some sort. Failed to get through though.
I've often wondered why more Filipinos don't apply. The same goes for the X Factor (equivalent TV show in the UK with Simon Cowell et al).

The guy who performed Tuesday night - Aj Tabaldo who is from San Diego CA is actually Filipino. His parents were there too during his performance and they also look Filipino.

aj tabaldo..he i think is 100% filipino.He cant say no it is really obvious..he's parents and even in his surname...
