My first job paid $1.90 an hour. The one I have now only pays $12. I am a brick layer and can make more than that but I get needed flexibility from the employer I have. I am conservative. And until certain tings I can't control change I will be poor. I am also fairly frugal so we are not often in need but we do have tight times.
That is conservatism. You use what you have to the best of your advantage and you work for what you want.

well.. actually... the south is full of them...
the majority are dirt poor down here...
the thing I don't get is they are always crying about the poor?
when that's a huge portion of their base?
it would be like the democrats crying about how bad black people are... not that they would even want to do that... it would just be foolish to alienate your base?
I would be willing to bet they have more that make under 50,000 than over... I mean the way the U.S. is set up now you would almost have to, if you ever won an election...
I don't see how poor Republicans take it... I guess they are under the illustion that they are not poor and actually middle class... but trust me... many are very poor...
and I don't see anything wrong with it... their party seems to though...

Heres one right here ..Ok i'm not poor..but i'm far from rich..
First off there are plenty of poor conservatives.. but you know why they may be hard for you to find?
They don't sit around crying about it and begging Uncle Sam for a handout like the majority of Liberals do ...
They get off their a ss and work..You know they crawl out of bed and do something...Sounds hard huh?

I know many poor conservatives. My brother in law is one of them. There is a line in 1776 that went something like, "People find it easier to accept the fantasy that they'll one day be rich than the reality that they'll always be poor, which is why they'll follow us to the right." I'm misquoting it, but you get the idea.

Oh, you see plenty IF you actually go out in the world and OPEN your eyes and are honest and don't just repeat the nonsense that makes you feel superior. I guess you don't get out much do you? I have worked since I was old enough to and EARNED EVERYTHING I have and I feel that others can do the same, unless they are honestly physically or mentally unable to. If that makes me uncaring in your eyes, too bad.

Because we are too busy working to complain, and we realize that if we are to have a good living we should earn it by the sweat of our brow, not through some government program.

Your right, so don't allow them to spam this question. A lot to them would be one or two that are in College or something like that.

Why would you not want to "conserve" the status quo when you are benefiting from it?
