do you think algae can also be considered as plants? why or why not?

i think can.. cuz i think it have the characteristic of a plant isn't it.. it can photosynthesize, grow , need sunlight and carbon dioxide etc.. That's why i think they are considered as plant to my opiniion....

algae IS a plant, unless you are talking about blue/green algae then than would be a cyanobacteria.

yes, they have chlorophyll and can produce oxygen like normal plants.
