Do they not see that different people have different points of view and why can't they leave the rest of the world alone instead of imposing their wishes on reluctant nations?

Having an American partner, I should point out that your question is a massive generalisation. Not all Americans think the same. e.g. many didn't want the US to go into the Iraq war.

However, it is noticable that they're school culture is very "hurrah hurrah" and "good job". They're built up to expect to be celebrated for what they do from an early age. I found when my partner came over to the uk that he expected me to say to him that he'd done well when he'd done the smallest thing that I would expect to be normal - e.g. vacuuming the house. He's learnt that some things should just be done, not lauded.

Of course, being such a large nation, there's hardly any reason for many of them to travel, and most don't have a passport. Thus they don't get to experience different cultures, and don't get to see non-homogenised points of view first hand. Without exposure to other experiences, how can they not think they're right? Don't forget, their TV covers 95% of local news before even considering 5% of the rest of the world.

Perhaps what the rest of us should do, is support some sort of exchange program, where they can stay with us in our homes to experience first hand other points of view. Of course, that would mean that they shouldn't travel in huge groups of 40 that would keep to their group think/comfort level.

What do you suggest to help alleviate the situation?

We are the same world over. I'm an American and certainly not anyone I personally know want what's happening now. We don't want to be in Iraq and be involved in the problems with Iran we are involved in. This is the government in Washington that has done this and there are times we can do nothing about it unless our representivies decide to do something. Unfortinutely we can't do anything but not vote for these idiots next time, but that does nothing now. We can let the politicians know what we want, but if they choose not to do anything, there is nothing we can do. It's a sad situation I know. Things need to change drastically here and in other parts of the world. Take my word, the avarage American does not want what is happening and would change it if we could. I firmly believe we should be in Afghanistan but certainly not in Iraq. If the Taliban is responsible for 9/11 they need to be distroyed and wiped off the face of the earth. Bush should have been impeached during his first term. He wasn't even elected by the people. He didn't win the popular vote.

American attractiveness - between the final movies ever to be launched and, on a similar time as the different 2 are completely reliable movies, they are going to under no circumstances come close to to Sam Mendes' masterpiece. BQ: it fairly is totally close, yet i might in all hazard say this is extra effectual, definite - Edward Norton's overall performance is mind-blowing, and the movie bargains with some very arguable messages properly. BBQ: American attractiveness / Donnie Brasco / Black Swan (i comprehend Black Swan is hated by potential of a few human beings, yet i presumed it replaced into an spectacular, yet diverse, movie that went places different movies won't).

It is a necessary requirement for any nation which wishes to rule the world. The Romans and British were exactly the same.

What? You presume to tell us that you don't think that YOU know it all, especially with such an accusing statement? In a universe according to YOUR eyes and YOUR ears alone, don't you on some level believe that you really do know everything?
