One of the funniest recent English-speaking movies which combine action and comedy is the under-rated Galaxy Quest. Also try some of the Peter Seller's Pink Panther movies and you'll split your sides. 'The Life of Brian' is good but your English needs to be pretty good to catch the dry humour.

if you mean english as in made in england with english actors then try shaun of the dead,any of the monty python movies,holy grail is my fave,snatch was quite good cant think of any other action movies sorry!
