I work nights so during the day it is super hard for me to fall asleep sometimes. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fall asleep on those days you just can't sleep.

I too work midnights...and used to have a major problem falling asleep during the day...this is the solution i was given and has worked ever since...get a fan or something that makes a constant non-changing sound...i tried this the first time and actually got 8 hrs of sleep...and has worked ever since...just make sure to keep a glass of water handy in case you wake up with dry mouth...good luck on your quest for sleep

LOL, I have the same problem but at night, been up since 8 am, and it's around 2:30 am for me. I know that thinking about it doesnt help. Also, experts say, that you should try to avoid TV of Computer screen atleast a minimum of 1 hour before heading to bed, as the bright lights can be as bright as that of the sun at times, and makes your body feel as though it's earlier than what it is, thus having a harder time falling asleep. Hmm... Maybe I should get of the computer.

I don't know but just so you know I took an Ambien sleep pill tonight at like 11pm and randomly woke up at 3am and I'm wide awake. So watch out for sleep aids sometimes they are completely wacky.

I turn the ac on flat out, watch some tv for a while, then when i get tired I turn the tv try to think of nothing then lights out for me.

Its trying not to think is the hardest part.

Lift weights or heavy objects before bed.I take Lunesta it is non-narcotic,it works really good.Ask your Doc for some.
