These things don't happen every time and the majority of cinema goers are respectful to the other viewers, but there's always a few. You know the ones I mean, during the film when people.

Fiddle with, text and answer their mobiles.
Force large handfuls of popcorn into their mouths and crunch loudly.
Talk loudly during the film.
Kick the chair of the person in front of them.
Arrive 5 minutes into the film and then stand in tha aisles discussing where to sit.

If anyone has any others or any comments please feel free to add them.

wow dude, i thought it was only me who got to have so many bad cinema experiances. there is so many bad annoying things about going to the cinema it's hard to choose the worst, but here is some anyway. people leaving just before the end of the film when then can sence the movie is almost over and when they do it they make as much noise as possible. the other is some one although the cinema is almost empty feels the need to sit about two seats away from you or worst right behind you. the ultimate one has to be and proberbly is for everyone, the idiots who carn't stop talking in the cinema. it makes you feel like kicking some butt jackie chan style. also people who go to the cinema who have a nasty cold, coughing and sneezing for two hours. also the people who have the i.q of a spud who laugh at important or emotional scenes. hell to be honest with you all people who are not movie buffs should not be allowed in the cinema.

why do some people choose to take wrapped sweets / candy to the cinema? are they completely dumb? do they think they are the only ones there? there are many irritating habits but they are a part of going to the cinema. Home cinema is amazing, but you have to hire a guy with a big head to sit in front and block your view... thank goodness we're not that accurate in our recreation the cinema experience in the home. The one thing i don't get, is those who go to the cinema not for the movie, not for the popcorn or for a date, but two friends who just want to sit and chat, make fun of the actors, giggle and giggle some more.

quite a few of those things have happened in my cinema going years, the thing i dread the most is young lads or girls around rhe 18-20 mark and think going to the cinema is for a laugh no matter what the movie subject is, just seen Dream Girls and these 2 girls though all the emotional songs were very funny and groaned when another started, put me off the power of the film completely. And groups of lads from the pub go to see a film just for a laugh and purposely ruin it for evreyone else

You've hit the nail on the head there. You're into the film and then you've gotta move because some late comers want to get past you with their smelly hot dog or popcorn. We went to the cinema once and there was a guy across from us ramming popcorn in his mouth with his wife wiping it for him. Next we heard this noise and he had been sick all over the seat ewwwwwww!! They got up and left. The other annoying habit is my partner falling asleep through my choice of film. The worst was through Brokeback Mountain when he started snoring loudly so i left him to it so he was totally embarrassed when he wok himself up cos it was so loud lol!!

All of the above. I recently went to the cinema and there was about 10 teenage girls sitting a few rows back from me. The kept going in and out in groups and laughing and chatting each time. It drove me mad. Why did they go to the cinema if they just wanted to chat to each other. They would have been better off outside.
Another thing i hate is all the adverts they put on before hand. It goes on for ages.

Thankfully, I've yet to go to a movie and heard someone's cell phone ringing or them talking on their cell phone. Lucky me! LOL

However, I cannot stand it when tall people sit directing in the middle of the rows!!! I'm very tall and have enough sense to not sit there! Why can't they!? Nothing worse than seeing this huge screen and then throughout the entire movie there is constantly this black stick blob thing right in the middle of the picture.

Then of course there are the geniuses who think it's acceptable to bring a child under the age of 3-4 years old to a movie. I'm sorry, but as a mother, if I can understand that children younger than 3-4 (3 is even pushing it) don't need to be at the movies, then why can't other parents? They have movie times especially for those with small children.

God people who bring young children in and then leave them, The cinema is not a babysitter!! this happened during Lord of the rings the kids got scared, then bored and then ran up and down till their parents came back 3 hours later!!!
Or idiots why do idiots come to the cinema, I had to sit through Harry Potter listening to two mothers trying to follow the plot, example "who is that bloke, he was the sheriff of Nottingham, whats he doing here?

Hi!

Yeah! I know EXACTLY what you mean!! LOL!!

You are so right in everything you say.

When we were kids we used to chuck Poppets (you could only buy these at the cinema) at people who used to talk loudly or were generally making a noise.

It was even better in the old style cinemas that used to have an 'upstairs'!!

I've since grown up a lot, you'll be glad to hear!!

But there's still that little kid in me that wants to chuck Poppets, like in the old days!

Thanks for giving me a chuckle this morning, it was nice visiting Memory Lane again!!

I HATE it when you get groups of young teenagers who sit and giggle and talk and show-off in front of each other all the way through the film. Do they have money to burn or something? If you don't want to watch the film why pay £6? Just go and hang about in a shopping centre or something for free and don't annoy the rest of us who want to be there. Aargh!

I agree with what you've said and its annoying when:
- people put their feet up on the chair in front when there is someone sitting there! Its so rude!
- girls come in groups and keep giggling...no matter what age they are.
- (this one rarely happens but is really annoying) people throw popcorn and duck and then start laughing histerically and saying things like 'did you see what she just did' to their other friends like its a huge accomplishment!
