Depends on your age, to me the past is gone and I cannot change it, the future is an unknown, so I concentrate on the here and now (present) my first task every day is to open my eyes and make sure that I am still "here" then if that is okay, hop out of bed.

at least 10 minutes a day on the past, all day on the present and once a week for 30 minutes on the future... j/k. i do often look back and think of my past, but mostly i just live in the moment and only think about the future when asked what i'm going to be doing, etc.

I often times find myself thinking about the past when I was in the present and thinking about the future.
But then I started worrying that if my future is all about me being in the present and thinking about the past then perhaps I would create a vortex that would cause the world to implode.
Then while in the present, I should forget about my past and only concentrate on the future.
But then I remembered, those who forget the past are more likely to repeat it in the future and thus, makes my present wonder if indeed the future is my past or vice-versa.
Oh, no, ...... I have gone crosse-eyed again.

I am in a strange way partly involved in both. As I am a Christian and I think about the past with thinking about the Bible and my studies of it. But I am also a Star Trek nut and avid fan, so I love and design on thinking of the future and the events that will unfold there and then. And being a devoted family member I also think of the present as family is involved. So I am in all three. Hope you can understand and relate to this.
