There is a spell check box right above the big box you type in.

Angie you are right it really doesn't matter, it is just annoying when there is a simple way to correct the problem. It makes me wonder if these people are sending out resume's or sending in homework like this. Now that would matter.

Ok after reading all the responses I must apologize to all. It was trivial, but I knew that when I wrote it. Jezerbil you are correct I have always had a problem with the proper usage of their and there. I must however give my best answer vote to Priya for her simple answer of a smiley face. I remended me "don't sweat the small stuff"

Most people are merely trying to type fast so that no one gets their answer before they do. The spell check box doesn't appear on everyone's computer and most of the time their answers are comprehensible.
If you take typing mistakes to the extreme:
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

Next time try and search the question. It has been asked by lots of other people before you.

Fortunately I don't need a spell check box. There are hundreds of others who do, though. However, I must say that there is no such spell check box appearing on my computer. It's obviously something that doesn't automatically appear. I don't even know how to get it there.

I know you probably mean really bad spellers BUT some of us don't spell words the same way as people in the US. For example colour or color.

Yes, though I guess we're in the minority. Unfortunately spell checkers won't catch things like "their" vs. "there", etc.
