check out the memory of the game you are currently playing. also, exit from all other software that you are currently working on if any. even if its there then press clt+ alt + del and end any unresponsive program. after you end all program try running program again.
good luck

Do you regularly disc defrag? This speeds up the time it takes for the computer to read the files, as over time they scatter over the harddrive and slow it down. Should your PC be set up the same as mine, you can get to that via Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter. If you haven't done it in a while, it can take some times to complete.
Also, make sure you have an antivirus installed, or at least scan it now and then with a free online scanner. A good one can be found at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
And if those don't help, don't forget that a computer has its limits; an older computer may find it hard to handle a newer game, running too many programs at once can really grind things to a halt, and if you have a lot of junk installed on your PC perhaps cleaning it out a bit would help things :)

programs that do not respond are due to miss allocation of memorie, which might be caused by a system that does not have suffishent resources to correctly interpret and post data.

in short... you might need more performance, so your programs dont get gummed up.... you can do this by making sure you are virus free, and in addition that you have enough ram for the task at hand...

hope this helps

Make sure you're not running too many programs at once. My best advice is to close anything you're not particularly focused on.

Enhance your system resources... or may be refresh your computer system by reinstalling your operating system and not installing useless softwares.
